Translation: ‘Rosie oder Die Angst vor der Liebe’
My novel ‘Ordinary Miracles’ is now available in German…and yes, that is the German title in the headline of this blog! The eBook has been published by Fischer…SO pleased! Click here for the Amazon details.
In a lovely review OK Magazine called the book ‘that rare combination of depth, honesty and wit’.
It has been praised as a great beach read, but it’s also a quirky, escapist read for a winter curl up on the sofa…includes a sunny ‘alternative’ holiday in Ibiza!
‘If you buy only one beach read this year, buy this. Jasmine’s story is funny, heart-warming and tender. After the shock of finding a jeweled hairgrip in the marital bed, Jasmine tries to adapt to the single life with varying degrees of success. Her descriptions of learning to drive are hilarious, as are her attempts to convince herself that she doesn’t really fancy the lovely Charlie. And how can anyone not love a pig that likes watching soap operas?’ Five Star Amazon review
Listening to soothing classical music on the radio as I type this and, apart from some ads for bunion remedies etc, it is a very welcome alternative to the somewhat unsettling current affairs programmes. Wish there was more talk of liebe…love…and compassion…
Glad to have found an ‘instant’ cappuccino that doesn’t have loads of sugar in it and tastes creamy and nice…small pleasures should not be underestimated!
Warm wishes and sparkles,
